What is healthy eating? This is a question that comes up al lot in my life! Either my clients or patients in the dental office where I work ask it, or I ask others what they think.
I love hearing the answers, they’re so diverse!

Here’s a sampling of what I hear:

“Anything organic”
“Lots of spinach and broccoli”
“Greens and grains”
“Anything that is cooked at home.”
“I get these frozen potatoes with flecks of broccoli in them. They’re soooo good and healthy too!”
“I make a big salad with iceberg lettuce, carrots, celery, cules, radishes, cheddar cheese and sour cream”
“Soup! with salad! Yum!”
“Yogurt”
“Low fat milk”
“Anything from my grill”

Interesting, don’ you think?

For me, a high nutrient diet is healthy eating. One that tastes awesome and doesn’t make me feel lousy the next day!

What’s a high nutrient diet? I’ll be writing more about it in the weeks to come, but in a nutshell (nuts are definitely high nutrient, btw) it’s eating foods that pack the most micronutrients per calorie. In other words, high vitamins and minerals and low calories.
Are you turning your nose up yet? Don’t! A high nutrient diet can turn you life around, help you lose weight, cut your risk of cancer, stroke and heart disease. And most of all the high nutrient diet can be awesomely delish! Don’t ask Rachel Ray, she doesn’t know! LOL!
I’ll be posting more information and some great, easy to make recipes, so check back soon!
